Confirmation is the second sacrament of initiation. Joined to the Church through Baptism, those confirmed are now given special strength through the power of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith and be witnesses for Christ.

Confirmation places a seal on those who are baptized and an obligation to continue the saving work of Christ. The sacrament of Confirmation stresses the communal aspect of our faith and is seen as a time of maturing spiritually, being sealed with the seven-fold gift of the Holy Spirit.

Young people are prepared to receive the sacrament of Confirmation through our Faith Formation classes and through their engagement in the life of the parish, especially by worship and service.
