Girls and Boys who have received their First Holy Communion are invited to become part of a very special group of young people in our parish—those who have heard God’s call to serve and have generously said yes. As an altar server at St. Mark’s, you share in the ministry of our liturgy. Your presence, your care, and your attention help our whole parish pray, especially during the celebration of the Eucharist at Mass. Training is provided which will help you feel confident, comfortable, and prepared each time you serve.

As you begin this ministry, you’ll learn some new words and actions, and you’ll take on certain responsibilities that help the Mass unfold smoothly and prayerfully. Remember that everything you do at the altar—every step, every gesture—is a way of serving God and helping our community draw closer to Christ.
