“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
Galatians 3:27

Congratulations on the beautiful gift of your child! As you prepare to present your little one for Baptism, know that the Church rejoices with you. Your child is a blessing to all of us, and the parish family of St. Mark’s is honored to walk with you as you take this meaningful step in faith.

Baptism is a sacred moment, and we invite you to take the time you need to prepare your heart and your family. This sacrament is not only a celebration for one day—it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith, love, and growth.

Your Role as Parents
  • Parents are the first and most important teachers of faith. Your own commitment and example will shape the spiritual life of your child in powerful ways.
  • If you are just beginning to reconnect with your faith, this is a wonderful moment to start anew. We are here to support you as you take those steps.
  • The Church community shares in this responsibility too—passing on our faith, our tradition, and our mission to every new member.
  • Godparents are chosen not only for their closeness to your family, but for their ability to support your child’s spiritual growth with love, prayer, and example.
Why Baptism?

Baptism is the first step in becoming a follower of Jesus. Together with Confirmation and Eucharist, it forms the foundation of Christian life—a journey supported by the entire Catholic community.

Through Baptism, your child enters into a relationship with God and with the Church. The community promises to share its faith, values, and mission with your family throughout your child’s life. When Baptism is celebrated within Mass, the whole parish has the opportunity to profess its faith and pledge its support.

We believe that infant Baptism celebrates not only the faith of the child, but also the faith of the parents and the whole Church. Through God’s grace, parents, godparents, and the community surround each child with love, guidance, and spiritual nourishment at every stage of life. Together, we help one another grow into the values of Jesus.

Through the waters of Baptism, we share in Christ’s dying and rising—leaving behind all that separates us from God and embracing a new life of freedom, hope, and belonging. May these waters bring deep joy and blessing to you and your child.

Please complete the Infant Baptism Form below, and we will reach out with details about Baptism Preparation Classes and scheduling your child’s celebration.
