“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4
The Bereavement Group meets once a week for nine weeks, gathering for one hour in a gentle, supportive setting. Using a thoughtful and compassionate workbook, participants are invited to gather their memories, give voice to their feelings, and reflect on their grief, loss, and sorrow at a pace that feels right for them. Within the group, something sacred unfolds: a safe and caring space where people can open their hearts, share their stories, and lean on one another in faith, hope, and the slow, grace filled work of healing.
At the heart of this ministry is a simple but powerful truth: we are loved not for how well we grieve, but for how deeply we have lived and loved. Our facilitators—each of whom has walked the path of loss—offer the witness of their own journeys, the gift of patience and understanding, and the reassurance that while grief never fully disappears, its sharpness softens with time. Healing comes gently, as we choose, day by day, to take one small step forward, supported by God and by one another.
