“Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praying to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks always and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.”
Ephesians 5:18–20

Music has a unique way of opening our hearts to God. At St. Mark’s, our music ministry exists to help the whole parish pray more deeply, sing more joyfully, and participate more fully in the liturgy. Our cantors, choirs, and instrumentalists serve not as performers, but as leaders who support the assembly in lifting their voices in praise.

We believe the most important choir in our parish is the congregation itself. Whether you think you have a “pretty” voice or not, if you come to Mass, you already belong to our music ministry. Your voice matters. Your presence matters. Together, we create something sacred.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir sings every Sunday at the 11:15am Mass from September through June, as well as on major feasts and parish celebrations. No previous experience is needed — just a desire to praise God in song. All are welcome.

Contemporary Choir

Our Contemporary Choir sings three Sundays a month at the 9:30am Mass and brings a fresh, uplifting sound to our worship. With guitars, piano, and a blend of voices, this group offers modern Christian music and contemporary arrangements that invite the whole parish to sing along. If you enjoy a relaxed, joyful musical environment, this may be the perfect fit. Singers and instrumentalists of all backgrounds are welcome.

Teen Choir

The Teen Choir brings energy and spirit to the 4:00pm Mass on the third Saturday every other month from October to June. Teens of all musical levels are invited to join — it’s a great way to serve, grow in confidence, and build community. Teens grades 7 through 12 are invited to join!

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir leads the 9:30am Family Mass on the third Sunday of each month from October to June. Children learn to sing, pray, and participate in the liturgy in a joyful, supportive environment. Children grades 1 through 6 are invited to join!

Cantors

Cantors are experienced singers who help guide the assembly in hymns and sung prayer. If you have some singing experience and feel called to this ministry, we would love to support you. Training and mentoring are provided for all eligible candidates.

Instrumentalists

Do you play an instrument — guitar, flute, violin, trumpet, piano, or something else? We would be delighted to welcome you into our music ministry. Your gifts can enrich our worship in beautiful ways.
