Illness—whether our own or that of someone we love—can be a tender and challenging time. In those moments, many of us naturally reach for God’s closeness, comfort, and peace. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is one of the Church’s most beautiful ways of offering that care. Through this sacrament, the person who is ill is lovingly united to Jesus in his suffering, his healing, and his promise of new life.

Anointing brings gentle spiritual healing and reassurance. When needed, it also includes the forgiveness and peace offered through the Sacrament of Penance. Throughout Scripture, we see how deeply God cares for those who are hurting, and this sacrament continues that promise today—reminding us that God is near, especially in times of weakness or fear.

Mass of Healing & Hope

Twice a year, our parish offers a Mass of Healing & Hope – during Lent & the month of October. The Mass of Healing & Hope is not a charismatic event. Anyone who is ill, elderly, physically or mentally challenged, preparing for surgery, or struggling with or recovering from addiction ... you & your family are invited to share in our Mass of Healing & Hope. We also offer a Pray over for those in spiritual pain. Ministers of our parish will lay hands on you, gently ask what you are praying for, and join you in intercession—through touch and prayer with the compassion of our merciful God and the grace of our baptismal priesthood. May the Lord heal you and raise you up.
